Close up of a hospitality worker packing food in paper bags and preparing them for delivery

A small hospitality business supplied takeaway services to their customers using a national delivery company. The delivery company deducted their fees before paying for the orders.

Without any explanation the delivery company stopped making payments. The small business was eventually told payment couldn’t be made and no further details could be provided. The impact on the small firm’s cashflow was catastrophic.

The OSBC requested that the delivery company carry out an internal investigation which showed that the small business’s account had been suspended by mistake. Payments were reinstated and paid in full, immediately.
