Fair Payment Code Action Plans
For businesses that do not qualify for the Fair Payment Code (FPC) Award levels they have applied for, they be offered the opportunity to be placed on an Action Plan.
An Action Plan sets out the requirements to meet the criteria for the Award level sought and the actions being taken by the businesses to work towards them. Even where a lower level is awarded initially, Action Plans to achieve the higher Award level may remain in place and continue to progress after the Award is issued.
Action Plans are also available for businesses who join the Code and then experience changes in their circumstances which lead to a drop in payment performance. In this case Action Plans can support businesses to maintain or get back to their Award level.
The FPC Team supports businesses in building their Action Plans and aims to provide all businesses on Action Plans with the support and guidance needed to help improve payment practices.
